September 03, 2008

Zbridge, outsourcing jobs, lawyer moms, and PUMA's "account" ability.

UPDATED: NO REALLY- THIS IS A SMOKING GUN.

We all know that yesterday Darragh Murphy released some "accounting" for the donation money she has been spending. Take a look see:

COSTS

Travel Vouchers to help Pumas and Puma Friends get to Denver:  $       10,000.00

Puma PAC HQ and Blogging Center and Lodging for Pumas and Puma Friends (most slept on the floor without a kitchen)  $ 11,000.00

Food and drink for PUMAs: $3,500.00

The Rise -Candle-light Ceremony  celebrating Hillary (stage, sound,  lights, etc.) $5,000.00

Printing of Signs/Banners/Flyers: $4,900.00

Ground transportation in Denver: $2,000.00

T-shirts, pins, bumper stickers, etc. $12,000.00

Shipping flyers and product to Denver: $1,200.00

Subtotal  $ 49,600.00

Transportation and Filming of The Audacity of Democracy (from June through August 30th, in Texas, DC, Chicago, DC again, Denver): $17,000.00

Technical/Equipment Costs for The Audacity  of  Democracy:  $ 8,000.00

Legal fees for set up and contracts  $ 3,500.00

Subtotal  $ 28,500.00

Grand Total: $78,100.00

12,000 on t-shirts, buttons, and bumper stickers? In Denver, it's common knowledge that they were selling t-shirts, buttons, and bumper stickers. Don't those profits go back into the PAC? Shouldn't they "credit" those proceeds to their expenditures before holding out their hand for more money? Or did they sell that little? This whole "list" smells of ridiculous over-reaching.

They spent more on buttons than equipment?
They spent more on shirts than a stage, lights, and sound? Strange.

And by the way, they say they need donations, for what? Denver is OVER. Aren't they supposedly a pro-Hillary group who doesn't "endorse a candidate?" If they run a single anti-DNC, anti-Obama ad, that goes right out the window. They literally become a swiftboat organization.

Remember the "Democrats" in 2004 who came out of the ether and claimed to have "worked along-side" John Kerry in 'nam and just "couldn't vote for him," even though some were Democrats? Yeah, we called them" swiftboat veterans for truth," unfortunately- they were full of Republican paid operatives.

These two tales are starting to sound pretty familiar now, aren't they?

All of this accounting talk has got me thinking-

Darragh Murphy already came out and said she spend 5K on "web development and hosting" while having the free wordpress.org blog, the free copyblogger plug-in theme to make her page look "pretty", and hosting the site on Dreamhost, whose most expensive hosting plan is approx $795 if you pay for 10 years upfront. So, where is this $5,000 going to?

You know, I got a pretty interesting email about the profession of someone very close to Darragh Murphy just two days ago. Seems like Darragh's hubby is um, into computers, to say the least. Could this be where some of that supposed "5K" went?

Nicholas Langrind, spouse to Darragh Murphy - has QUITE the profession.

For being regular Americans, for being lifelong Democrats- those who want to see unions protected, those who are hurting because they are losing their jobs due to outsourcing, The Langrind/Murphy background seem to be VERY different. Nicholas langrind's profession: OUTSOURCING JOBS TO CHINA. Not just figuratively, LITERALLY.

He is the manager for a company called "z bridge" and THIS is their mission:

Zbridge's mission is to make midsourcing the leading solution for  the contract labor and consulting needs of the most technically advanced companies.  Our task is to provide tested, usable deliverables to our customers for their most complex software, hardware and business development projects -- with no compromises in quality or scheduling.

We aim to stake out the middle ground between the outsourcing and in-house camps, eliminating the most intractable problems and risks of either approach.

More than simplifying your choices regarding outsourcing options, Zbridge changes the equation: with midsourcing we bring China to your door.  As a Zbridge customer you get:

  • access to the most cost-competitive engineering labor markets in China
  • deliverables that arrive ready-to-go because the development has been locally directed all they way by fluent Zbridge managers
  • liaison and  business development services from management and engineering professionals with decades of experience in both the US and China

This is how the Langrind/Murphy's pay their bills? by costing regular Americans their jobs? How "Democratic" of them.

And this isn't some old company. Here is the zbridge craigslist ad from yesterday. They are looking for help, if you know anyone willing to sell some Americans short.

Oh, and I wonder who that $3,500.00 went to for "legal fees?" Well, guess what? Ann F. Walsh, Darragh Murphy's mother, is a lawyer!

What do we know about Ann F. Walsh??

This is the same Ann F. Walsh who goes by "MAMApuma." Who calls herself a "spokesperson" for PUMA.

No, really, she does. According to The Denver Post:

"We are here to oppose the primary process as fraudulent, intimidating, misogynist," said Ann Walsh, a PUMA leader from Boston, as a group of mostly female supporters thronged the house, picking up placards and T-shirts.

This is the same Ann F. Walsh who I exchanged some "colorful" emails with last week when Darragh said I "attacked" her mother because I released her name. Well- if Darragh thought THAT was an attack, she should read the rest of this TRUTH.

Here are the two best emails from "MamaPUMA":

Christina Cedeno,
We are currently reviewing each and every post that you have made in order to determine whether we should proceed with a libel suit.  As I am sure you know, accusations such as you have made are liable for action in court.  We will be in touch with you through our attorneys if it become clear that the next step is in court.

Dear Christina Credeno,
It concerns me that you use the phrase "My email was NOT directed at you. It was directed at Darragh Murphy".  We are investigating each and every possibility of harassment as well as libel.  Your use of the term "directed at" invites investigation.

Please do send me your phone number so that we can follow that thread.

The courts are very good at distinguishing the distinction between libel and free speech and are very sensitive to harassment that interferes with voting rights.  I have no fear that they will do that with significant results.

Sincerely
Ann F. Walsh, Esq.

This is the same Ann F. Walsh, director of Boston Children First, who filed a lawsuit
in 2003 claiming that the Boston School District was discriminating- against whites.
Here is the article:

Ann Walsh, director of Boston's Children First, a nonprofit group that filed the suit on behalf of the parents, said the parents would appeal the ruling.

''We feel as if an opportunity has been lost here,'' Ms. Walsh said.

Anyone who lives up north knows that the "busing" issue is a way to express tinges of racism.

This is also the same Ann F. Walsh opposed to bi-lingual education:

Walsh's          agenda, such as neighborhood schools, the elimination of          METCO and busing, the eradication of bilingual education,          and the implementation of an elected school committee have          been met with mixed reviews, no one seems to be opposed to          the idea of Boston Public School parents having a unified          voice.

This is the same Ann F. Walsh who appealed the judges decision (that busing was NOT discriminating against whites) and used this right wing nut lawyer Chester Darling to help her. Who is Chester Darling- besides a friend to Ann F. Walsh (Darragh Murphy's mother)? Oh, according to this story on boston.com:

Chester Darling has been a longtime champion of difficult, often unpopular causes. He fought for, and won, a unanimous Supreme Court ruling that banned gays and lesbians from marching in the South Boston St. Patrick's Day parade. He railed against buffer zones that protect abortion clinics from protesters. He successfully defended a Woburn minister's right to whip his son with a leather belt. He sued the town of Lexington for refusing to display a Nativity scene on its public green. He sought to overturn race-based school admissions policies.

Geez, you want to talk about "sketchy associates." How long do you think Ann and Chester were working together?
It sounds like this family is brimming with progressives!
Woohoo! Go mampuma, leader for PUMA, who condones  stifling the rights of Gays and Lesbians. Who supports ministers whipping sons!!!

GO PUMA- ROAR!

Darragh funneling funds to herself? No. Can't be. She's so honest and sweet and PERFECT. Heh.

Don't you feel like you're banging your head against a brick wall?

I saw the cost accounting earlier today, and the first thing I wondered about was the $12,000 for t-shirts, buttons, etc.

For event t-shirts she would probably have paid $6/ea. I'm saying this from my own experience in doing events. But, let's say she got a bad deal and she actualy paid $10/shirt. Did she have 1200 shirts made up? At an event like this, selling 50 shirts would be considered perfectly respectable, but 1000+ is not possible.

Now, what she may have done is given an artist friend of hers $10k for the t-shirt design, and had 100 shirts made up. That might work out financially.

OK,
Who stole murphy's car?

" #483 MamaPuma on 09.03.08 at 4:03 pm

PUMA ALERT PUMA ALERT PUMA ALERT

This is Mama

Murphy was in meetings all morning with me. We finally got out to find that her car was towed.

She is now desperately trying to track down her car to get it out of hock.

I expect that next she will be abducted by gypsy aliens.

She is doing everything she can to get to a place that she can blog.

In the meantime be wonderful to each other.

Love
Mama"

Damn OBOTS at it again.

wtf is with the dble posts?
lol

lol, pumabot- we do it to freak your mind out! ;)

Don't worry, I took care of it.

OMG! I too once had my car run off with, and now I know the culprit, it was Obama, it was 1989, and the "City" claimed I had PARKED ILLEGALLY-- but, now I know, Obama was after me even then, from his far reaching "universe control center" manned with O-bot car-towers and corrupt city officials. PARKING TICKET RECIPIENTS UNITE and TAKE OUT THESE OBAMA PARKING NAZIS BEFORE WE ALL LOSE OUR CARS. AAAHHHHHHH!!!!!! I am sure this is some type of George Soros "green energy" conspiracy, and, they HATE me because I am white, OMG, and I drove a WHITE car at the time. It is all SOOOO clear now.

not a fan- hahahahahaha. Oh my god..

I watched a few videos of Murphy this morning. She's interesting, to say the least. While she does not seem to be spectacularly evil, I'm pretty much waiting for the Justice Department to reveal the fraud at the heart of this operation.

How much do you spend on this site? This site is better organized than the Puma site, imo, and I imagine you're spending far, far less. Of course, you're not spending lots of time censoring posts, either...

Alec brings me to a question I've been meaning to ask. Are you or anyone else out of pocket for running this site? What would be the legal situation with donations if they're needed (I know you're not running a PAC here)?

You never ask, but if it's legal for me to donate and it's needed, I'd gladly chip in.

Abroad- i pay for this site to stay up and running out of pocket. There aren't any "donations." Thank you though :)

Christina,
I second what abroad said.
;)

Christina--The offer stands if it's ever needed.

And the thanks are due to YOU. :)

And I'm "Abroad" now? Cool! I was feeling like we were being a bit formal, and going to suggest ya'll could call me AB. Or something. That doesn't need so much typing.

Ann F. Walsh, fighting against the NAACP, God, shocking. And, with a CONSERVATIVE LAWYER on the case who has FOUGHT AGAINST just about every principle and freedom the Democratic party stands for...hmmm, I do believe I smell a rat...f*c*er.

Can anyone say GOP? I can.

Oh, and I think Obama's folks also once fined me for drinking in public, and took away my damn beer, back in 1982, he was even chasing me THEN. The guy is all powerful, oh, and, apparently in control of all bad things that happen. He also once stole my friends lollipop and kicked sand at him (or, more correctly, his evil Bots did) in 1964. HE WAS ONLY 3 AND HE WIELDED IMMENSE POWER-- BEWARE!!!

Community Organizer = Tow Truck Driver

AB,
Are you from abroad?

Althippo,

I saw the T-shirts. There were shitloads of them. In fact, there's a bit of a defensive exchange w/ MamaPuma in tomorrow's post about the shirts.

Chester Darling, the conservative lawyer who brought the case along with Bostons Children First (Ann F. Walsh's group) on behalf of the white children who were being "discriminated" against, also fought to exclude gays from the St. Patrick's day parade, defended the right of a parent to "spank" a child with a BELT, defended the right of abortion protesters to have closer access to abortion clinics...oh, this GUY is FULL of FUN and ULTRA-CONSERVATIVE ideas. Why oh why would someone from the democratic loving, loyally democratic, absolutely proclaimed (just today, as a matter of fact) non-republican PUMApac EVER be involved with THIS Chester Darling GUY? I am SOOOOOO confused. Could they possibly, just maybe, well, I dunno, be GOP? Hmmm?

And, lucky for us all, (since Chester has retired) Chester has a son to carry on his stupidity, urrr, legacy:

This whole election has shown me that life is rotten, fucking assholes always win, and there is no hope. McCain will win in November because whatever group of idiots get to swing this election will have an easier time understanding small Republican words.

Fucking assholes always win. Except for whatever kind of fucking asshole I am. Like John Edwards. For some reason, a fucking asshole who thinks women need more home ec classes and ape dick is OK, but one who wants to fight poverty isn't.

I can't even fucking stand to watch it. I called this fucking thing back in March.

Hey, America, enjoy getting fucked for 8 more years. You fucking deserve it.

TC,
I started listening to the tapes you posted today.
Then,
Poof they were gone.
What happened?

pumabot said--"AB, Are you from abroad?

Yes. Living in Scotland. Married to a New Yorker. ;)

TC,
I think we all feel like that from time to time, but, it ain't over yet. Not even close to over.

And, maybe the ratf#ckers trying to screw this all up will be outed at last?!

Could happen...

This post is more important. Mine will be up sometime tomorrow. You can see them on youtube.

AB,
Was just curious.
Its good to know that people outside the U.S. are paying attention.
Btw,
My brother in law is from Scotland.

@AltHippo: I too was struck by the t-shirts. They discussed the pricing on the blog and that $5 or $6 was a common rate.

But remember the $12,000 wasn't just for t-shirts. It was t-shirts, mugs, balloons, wristbands and whistles!

What I thought interesting was that PumaPac was planning on a presence in Denver since their inception in June. It was the focus of their fund-raising.

And yet Maryland Puma and Murphy were by their own accounts running around madly the week before Denver ordering the t-shirts and etc and arranging their delivery to Denver (hence the $1200 shipping fee (!)) FreddieBrown, who describes herself as an affluent, successful businesswoman (accessories, IIRC) even offered on the blog to get the goods from her wholesale contacts, but Murphy and Maryland declined.

Naive me, I just would have expected the Pac to plan ahead. To get some Pumas organized on the ground in Denver first thing to secure space and get their promotional materials made, and get the best deals on their logistical needs. I was sleepless because of a project one night and I found myself starting to strategize how I would organize the effort in Denver! (Don't worry; I caught myself and pulled myself back from that abyss . . . .)

But the organization for Denver was just so pathetic, I couldn't help thinking of how to do it better.

Who am I to second guess? But I can't help thinking that was an awful lot of money for a group of 30 to 50 people to run around Denver and be angry in public. Oh, and for Darragh Murphy to be interviewed by the "international press."

Are they just pathetic? Inept about organization and money?

Liz,

Some might say they aren't pathetic or inept, but are maybe just frauds.

Watch the polls next week. The fucking assholes always fucking win. Fuck it. I'm through giving a fucking shit. This country happily lets itself be gutted by a party that openly mocks the idea of doing good. Ever heard of a "conservative do-gooder?" Fuck 'em all.

And fuck the fucking Democrats, too, with their weak-ass "Gang of 14" or "Gang of 5" or "Blue, Ball-less Dogs" who fuck it up for the guys who could do some good. Oh yeah, doing good is for pussies.

With all due respect,
This is far from over.
In fact, I believe what wasn't said means a lot more than what was.
That was a bunch of psycobable, that will mean shit to anyone with a clue.

pumabot--Maybe not as much as my wife and myself lately (I'm freelance and this has been a slow work month with terrible weather, apart from anything else!), but believe me, this election is being followed pretty avidly outside the US.

What you saw with Obama in Germany wasn't wholly synthetic - people desperately want a US that's engaged with us all and constructive, not the travesty McCain and Palin evidently want to preside over. We know there are plenty of good folks where you are. We're tired of the shitheads. Talk some more another day. ;)

Bot,

All due respect, the number of Americans with a clue has already been pegged at 48%.
